S2 E20 - Welcome back to Whitgift Conversations, the podcast where we talk to staff and pupils about topics that are relevant to you.

Now this is a cracking episode. We don’t have one guest, we have six. And they’re all in a band together so we’re talking about music; writing it, performing it, enjoying it. The band is called, ‘The Strange New Normal’ and today we’re talking to lead singer Gibran, Sam the drummer, Miles on rhythm, Patrick on lead, Joss on keyboard and Tanmay on bass. We’re going to find out what it’s like to be in the band and what this means for them all.

But we also get to hear some of their music too as we play an extract of one of their songs in the middle of the podcast and, if we’re lucky, we might be able to hear the whole song at the end of the recording.

It’s a great episode, it’s really good fun, it’s not one of the most serious episodes but that doesn’t mean the boys don’t take their music seriously; they absolutely do and I’m sure you’ll get a sense of that from this podcast.

So if this intro is the warm-up act then the main event is about to start. So come with me as we hear from the band, it’s The Strange New Normal.
