Carrie Blewett was last seen on by her family in July of 2017 in Kansas City. Three weeks later, on August 4, her decomposed body was found along a tree line on Collage Avenue and 51 Street.
Carrie's family tried to report her missing to the Kansas City police department two times. Both times an officer refused to file a report until a younger officer finally opened a missing person case on Carrie on July 19.
