If you’ve experienced emotional triggers lately or found yourself in conflict with others during quarantine, you aren’t alone. This is a time in which there is a wide range of opinions, emotions and unresolved trauma coming to the surface for so many of us.

The good news: This is a great opportunity to heal old wounds and rewriting limiting beliefs and stories.

The bad news: Experiencing conflict within ourselves and others is often painful.

Luckily spiritual life coach Monica Reyes came on the podcast this week to provide her perspective on how we learn to lean into these difficult emotions and resolve conflict in ourselves so that we can create more harmony in our lives. On this podcast, she provides actionable tools and practices for coming back to ourselves and facing conflict from a place of calm centeredness.

On this podcast we discuss:

  • Why so much conflict is arising collectively at this particular point in time. (13:00)
  • What we must accept in order to surrender. (14:10)
  • How to find the real source of your anger instead of projecting. (17:00)
  • How you are creating your own reality and what conflict mirrors in your life. (22:00)
  • Why conspiracy theories are triggering so many of us. (32:00)
  • What you can do to replace labeling and judging with compassion. (24:00)
  • The most important thing you can ask yourself the moment you are triggered. (29:00)
  • How to see conflict as something that’s happening for you. (31:00)
  • How to be with the discomfort of your emotions and not let them own you. (33:00)
  • How to understand the reactions of others with compassion. (35:00)
  • How to use awareness as a tool for evolution. (35:46)
  • How to use visualization exercises to resolve conflict and have difficult conversations. (44:30)
  • How to approach information from a place of curiosity instead of defensiveness. (48:00)
  • Using intuition to guide you when you don’t have all the answers. (50:00)
  • The biggest priority right now to focus on (hint, it’s not productivity). (56:08)

Monica Reyes is a dynamic speaker, and activist for compassion, guiding and empowering leaders towards self- awareness, spiritual awareness and purpose. She bridges ancient spiritual principles with the latest in science and braids it into easily digestible and practical ideas.

She is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, a Psychosynthesis life coach and an attorney who left her fruitful law practice to answer her soul’s call for more. Her background allows her to easily integrate her teachings into the corporate and athletic setting. She is a TEDx Speaker and has spoken in front of audiences ranging from small venues to tens of thousands in all demographics and purposes with her message.

She is the proud mom of Natalia (7 years old) and Nikolas 2 year old) and wife of Ian Welsch, founder of the innovative arts-based youth development agency, The Motivational Edge and one of her inspirations to follow her passion.
