Often, we subconsciously make assumptions about what other people think about our ourselves or our creative work. Maybe you worry that your family doesn't take your art seriously or that your future readers will think that you're a talentless hack.
Whatever the case, the fact remains that assumptions are unfair — both to yourself and to the people you're placing them upon. Worst yet, the assumptions you're making may be feeding into a destructive inner narrative that's killing your creative confidence. Yikes!
