My name is Stephen Ogoe. I'm a mystic, motivational speaker, and spiritual ccounselor. I want to welcome you to the first episode of my weekly (Wednesday) program, “Will You Marry Me?” Marriage is constantly evolving. Yet today, those who are marrying don’t seem to pay attention to this dynamic nature of marriage. People still hold on to outdated and rigid religious, cultural, and personal expectations. Invariably, they get married and they’re shocked or hurt when things don’t go as expected.

It’s my purpose – in this first episode of Will You Marry Me? – to provide a quick overview of where marriage stands at the moment. This information will help people adjust their expectations and plan accordingly.

I’d like us to explore one major challenge that’s impacting marriage today: women don't need men today the way they would have needed them in the past. The same is true of men in regard to women. There are many reasons for this, but in my observation, two factors have been the primary drivers of this trend: money, and technology. These shifts have placed the marriage institution under unprecedented stress. Those who wish to marry in these times must take into account these massive changes and adapt. Those who don't adapt may find themselves disappointed.

If you’ve enjoyed the program, be sure to tune in every Wednesday. Tell people about it, and share your feedback, so that the program can grow and reach more people. You can contact me for speaking engagement, or for personal spiritual counseling using the following:
