Wimberley, Texas started as a humble trading post settlement near Cypress Creek in 1848, the same year that Hays county was organized. The town took its name from a mill that the town became known for that has been known as Winter’s Mill, Cude’s Mill, and finally Wimberley’s Mill. The mill is gone now but there are still many historic locations that you can visit in town!

Since then Wimberley has become known as a river and resort town as well as maintaining its roots with the monthly market day and Wimberley Square attracting tourists from all over the world!

Make sure that you subscribe to the show so you can catch future episodes that will go into more detail about the history of the town!
