In this episode of Tri This, Dr Kirstin Lauritzen discusses the question she gets asked the most, “Why Ironman”? She is taking us with her as she trains for the Coeur D’Alene Ironman June 27th, 2021. In this episode she explains that part of the draw for her to sport and training is how they have taught her skills and tools that she can apply in everyday life. Also in this episode, Kirstin discusses how training for an Ironman helped her get through one of the toughest experiences she faced in 2020. For the first time she tells the story about her miscarriage, which put her in a position to have to make a very critical choice for herself and for her training.
