On our weekly news magazine show Chris Stafford is joined by Nancy Gillen from Inside the Games who has the top stories from around the world of women’s sport. This week’s guest is a WiSP Sports Ambassador, US Team Judoka Angelica Delgado who will shortly be returning to competition following the Covid hiatus. Angie is the #1 ranked under 52 kilogram female judoka in the United States, as well as, # 10 in the world. We hear how she has adjusted her training this year which now includes a new running routine. Angie explains what preparation looks like for the Pam American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico starting November 21 and how Covid regulations will affect the team’s travel.

Another glass ceiling for women in sailing will be shattered next week at the 70th Bermuda Gold Cup and 2020 Open Match Racing World Championship when two accomplished female skippers – Frenchwoman Pauline Courtois and Anna Östling of Sweden – will race in the Open Worlds for the first time ever. The 70th Bermuda Gold Cup and 2020 Open Match Racing World Championship are scheduled Oct. 26-30 with a field of 16 teams set to contest the dual regatta.
