Tracking through cinematic tales of heartache, love and loss while bouncing effortlessly between genres from 50’s rock and roll to post-punk to classic country and folk, Gold Light becomes a catchall for Chang’s prismatic take on American music. Currently based in Asheville and forming in 2013, Joe has written, self-recorded, and performed most of the instrumentation on his five full-length albums. Fleshing out the band live with a rotating cast of musicians throughout the years, Gold Light has played over 200 shows with the majority of them being on the road. “Blood Summer”, Gold Light’s latest album, comes out 3 February, 2022.
