Hello, welcome to the podcast. And today we're talking about how to create a brand for a therapy business. Now, as a speech therapist and I've been working for over 30 years, I don't remember going on any course about branding your business. I went on a course that was supposed to be about setting up the independent practice but I don't remember learning anything about branding but now I know why it is really useful.

In the course, I did learn about different types of businesses and what each one has in common. And one of them is that you need to set yourself up as being different from other therapists. So, if you're going to be doing speech therapy or language therapy, you are going to be different from someone who does cognitive therapy, or behavior therapy, or whatever. And so, you have to think about how your services are different. How do you position yourself against other therapists? And also, you can use the fact that you are different from other therapists to help you get more patients. Because the more patients you have the more money you make. So, that's one of the ways you can help people find you. Now, the next thing that you need to do is set yourself up as being different from the other therapists in your area.
