Aubree,30-year-old nurse from Schenectady, NY, has always loved the outdoors and learning about her surroundings. Aside from trapping which has recently become one of her more enjoyable hobbies she also loves fishing, hunting, and enjoys hiking in the Adirondack mountains where she one day hopes to complete the Adirondack 46er challenge. At home Aubree enjoys beekeeping and tending to her chickens. One day she hopes to have a small farm with her family where she can trap and hunt right out of her own backyard.
Trapping came to her when she met her significant other Casey in 2019. She observed for that first year and has loved it ever since. Aubree has learned most of her knowledge of trapping from watching demos and asking many questions at the booths at the conventions as well as trial and error which seems to be her most enjoyable way to learn. In 2020 she set her first traps in the ground running a small line with her family for their local farmers and came up with three coyotes from that line of just 6 traps. This was when it came to fruition that Aubree really enjoys fur handling. She doubled her numbers in 2021 catching 7 furbearers including her first opossum.2022 she trapped many firsts getting her first racoon, first Grey Fox, and first out of state trapping experience when she ventured to Nebraska with a small group of ladies. Her favorite part of trapping is experimenting with new sets, locations, bait/lure combinations, and fur handling most of all. Aubree aspires to one day have a fur creations business as well as a nuisance trapping business in her local area.
Aubree really enjoys sharing her love of trapping with others. She has shared this passion with her children who have been on the line with her these last 4 years. She has plans in the near future to get involved setting up workshops and getting her education course certification under way so she can become more involved with introducing trapping to young minds in her community.
