In this episode, we’ll talk about the Comparison Game. We find ourselves competing from a very early age. Grades, sports, board games, dance recitals, races, a spot at an ivy league school, jobs, promotions, singing, to name a few. Comparing your sales numbers to others selling the same thing or comparing the success of your business with a similar business is just a part of life. There are actually some really positive reasons to look at where you are compared to others if you’re comparing apples to apples and we’ll get into that. The problem is, that’s not usually what happens. Many times it’s not apples to apples. If you don’t approach the comparison on a level playing field and with the right mindset, it can not only derail your momentum, it can stop you dead in your tracks. It’s important to understand how to stop undermining yourself and start competing with the right individual and that individual is YOU!
