Childhood is supposed to be filled with laughter, joy, carefree living, and innocence, but what happens when your childhood is interrupted? What happens when someone rips the veil from your eyes and forces you to see the ugliness that exists in this world? Ask Julia J. Banks. Her desire to lead women to God was birthed from a traumatic childhood experience that warped her sense of sexual intimacy and challenged her faith for many years.
Julia candidly shares her experience with:

  • Overcoming and healing from childhood sexual trauma
  • Learning the importance of talking to someone about your pain
  • Navigating the sexual assault recovery process with God

Julia J. Banks was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, to the parents of Stuart Jones and Linda Banks. Julia is the founder of the She’s Awakened women’s ministry movement, which was formed to bring awareness to childhood trauma of which she is also a survivor. She uses this platform to encourage healing and empowerment by God’s word.
