Jazz saxophonist, composer, vocalist, and educator; Mtali Banda reflects on how growing up in different cities allowed him to be receptive to sounds that you wouldn't expect him to, what makes a millennial want to be a Jazz musician, and not adhering to traditional jazz rules. He also elaborates on the importance of higher education exposing him to the ways that the black diaspora and history have influenced his music, as well as giving yourself time to live life before you make music and so much more!!!
