In a situation dominated by pessimism due to ever larger humanitarian impacts, getting together to discuss humanitarian action is inspiring. More reflections are needed on underlying dynamics and on how to better engage the ever increasing capacity of civil society and governments as well as the role of new technologies.
PHAP members and others share their thoughts on the World Humanitarian Summit process in Istanbul, 22-24 May 2016.The association is present in Istanbul to help amplify practitioner voices and bring clarity to the Summit process for those unable to participate on-site.
PHAP is the individual-based professional association bringing together all parts of the humanitarian sector. With a shared vision that human life and dignity are safeguarded in the face of humanitarian crises, the association’s mission is to empower capable and informed professionals to transform humanitarian action.
