We're talking about sleep in this Wriinkle Short episode and we were inspired to make this for two reasons.

Firstly, I really struggle to sleep a lot of the time and even more often than that I don't seem to get quality sleep. There is also a narrative that exists surrounding highly prevalent, 'successful' people which pushes the idea that hard work and success comes from relentless work, late nights and ridiculous early starts.

The other reason we were inspired to do this podcast is a Neuroscientist/sleep expert Matthew Walker - his book "Why We Sleep" and appearance on JRE has brought the subject of sleep into the mainstream recently. He goes into detail on exactly what goes on when we sleep, what constitutes a 'quality sleep' and why it's so important to sleep properly.

This is so healthy and hopefully off the back of information from people like Matthew Walker we can start to be more responsible about giving ourselves the opportunity to get the sleep we need and reduce the stigma around 'working tirelessly'.

Like with all of our Shorts - we're simply bending you on to interesting subjects and so we'd fully recommend looking into this subject for yourself.
