Sarah Anne Leroux is a new mama and teacher living in Ontario, Canada. She considers herself a creative and feels blessed to have an impact on the future generation of writers. If it's not obvious by her episode, she has truly found her passion: teaching English to high school students. Currently reading John Warner's "Why They Can't Write,” it is obvious that this young teacher has the best intentions of understanding her students’ needs and responding to them in a variety of out-of-the box ways. When Sarah is not actively getting inspired for future lesson plans, she enjoys journaling for her own personal development, as she finds it tremendously healing.
Kathie's note: I met Sarah through Caveday, an online coworking space. In the spring of 2022, she was looking for a couple of people to talk to her students about creating magazines. I've written hundreds of magazine articles over the years and am a content creator for a hyperlocal publication, so I know my way around terms like recto and verso, widows and orphans, kerning and leading. I offered to speak to her classes and had more fun than they did, I'm sure. The magazines these teenagers created that semester were pretty spectacular, and most were 28 or 32 pages. Yep, we talked about printing 4-up.
Writers Rotation intro/outro recorded at Dynamix Productions in Lexington, Kentucky.
