Ted Emrich is a play-by-play announcer for college football and basketball on ESPN and Westwood One. He has also covered eight Masters Tournaments, three Olympics, three College World Series, and the McDonald’s All-American Boys and Girls Games the last two years. Ted has filled in on NBA telecasts with the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans and on the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network.

Kathie's note: I worked with Ted on the Longhorn Radio Network in the late aughts. He was the scoreboard reporter, based in Dallas, and I was running the audio board in Lexington, Kentucky. The Craig we talk about in this episode is Craig Way, play-by-play announcer for Texas. I've met up with Craig a few times in real life, but the first time I laid eyes on Ted, albeit via Zoom, was during this interview in July 2023.
