WRSP Radio presents the fourth episode of the second year of Weekend Sports Huddle with co-hosts Tom Pollin, Hunter Hodies and producer Dave Holcomb. This week, we dive into the top stories of baseball once again. The Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs faceoff one more time before the All-Star break. Do are hosts believe either still have a chance to win the NL Central? As there normally is heading into All-Star Week, there's plenty of controversy around baseball. Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Logan Morrison has 24 home runs, yet he isn't participating in the Home Run Derby. As for the rosters, there's always subs, but there appears to be more than usual this year. We break down who should have made the derby and team who didn't. In the second half of our show, we will take a look back at the week that was in NHL free agency. The Pittsburgh Penguins lost several key players, but their core will remain intact for a bid at a 3-peat. Will it be enough? In Chicago, the Blackhawks continue to shed salary and rebuild on the fly. We'll also take a look at what some other teams are doing around the league. We want to hear your opinions! call into the show at 516-387-1417 or tweet @wkdsportshuddle.
