Helaine is a former columnist for Slate. She was the host of the Slate Academy series the United States of Debt. Helaine is an expert on money and society with a deep understanding of public policy. She writes, speaks and consults on issues including Social Security, retirement, healthcare, student loans and women’s financial issues. She is also one of Business Insider’s “50 Women Who Are Changing the World,”

Helaine is the author of two books: Pound Foolish:Exposing the Dark Side of the Personal Finance Industry and The index card: _ _Why Personal Finance Doesn't Have to Be Complicated. Today we will mainly talk about her books in the conversation.
