Episode 225 - Simple lets you focus on the subject Feat Graham Annabele
Manage episode 362511236 series 2240291
This week I had a real privilege of catching up with Graham Annabele. Whether he knew it or not joining the call I'm a big fan of his work and as I found the more I researched him I've been a fan longer than I thought! Having worked on old game titles like Curse of Monkey Island, Sam and Max and created his own original works in the form of comics and cartoons such as Grickle. One of the main things he's known for however is his work with stop motion film company Laika having been director of The Box Trolls and worked in various roles on Kubo, Pinocchio and Coraline.
So I was plum blushed when I was able to get an hour with him so we could talk, animation, concept in creation and dive into how style and messages can be communicated through work in various ways. We discuss his upcoming new horror book for middle schoolers and overall have a lovely chat about what it means to be Graham's.
You should definetly check out his work in films, comics and show him all the love.
