The position of a police chief has always been a demanding job. A police chief must know how to run a complex organization, in many cases a very large organization. Chiefs must have strong leadership skills and a vision for meeting the needs of the community. And the stakes are high because police have unique power and authority over people. The consequences of a mistake by any member or group of the organization can be catastrophic.

Join the Cohost Chiefs this Thursday at 6PM CST. They discuss several recent incidents where police chiefs had to take a stand for what was right even knowing their positions were in jeopardy. Recently the police chief in Baton Rouge found himself speaking out against members of his own agency. BRPD chief outraged at a public meeting as metro council questions him on Brave Cave investigation.
