Jameela Jamil is a British actress, activist, podcaster, and television host, who initially gained fame hosting a Channel 4 pop culture series from 2009 to 2012 and later became the first regular solo female presenter of the BBC Radio 1 chart show. After relocating to the United States in 2016, she played the role of Tahani Al-Jamil in the NBC comedy series "The Good Place" and took on hosting duties for the TBS late-night game show "The Misery Index" and as a judge on the voguing reality competition show "Legendary." In 2022, she expanded her career with roles in the animated film "DC League of Super-Pets" and the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law."
