Today we are discussing the lack of historical knowledge of how men and women worked together during the civil rights movement to advance black society. We haven't been taught the impact of how black women have impacted our movement. If we were taught to hold black women in higher regard would we protect them better? Have we been conditioned to see the opposite sex as the enemy? Is the bar of perfection negatively impacting the way we connect with one another, have empathy for one another? Have we lost the concept of the greater good when it comes to black relationships?
