I have been wearing contacts or eyeglasses since I was eight years old. In fact, I would like to believe I’m somewhat of an expert when it comes to yearly eye exams. I mean I got my first pair of BIFOCALS as a freshman in college. Nice, right? So why am I telling you this? Because I want you to know that I have had over thirty years of experience with finding doctors that I trust with my EYE BALLS and that when I tell you Dr. Davis at Palm City Eye Care is the real deal you should know that he is, in fact, the REAL DEAL folks. I cannot say enough great things about this hidden gem in my small town; the friendly staff, modern equipment and testing, and the EXPERIENCE are – dare I say this – refreshing. Knowing that this practice exists, a practice that values people over processes or procedures, has restored my faith in healthcare on some level and, quite frankly, has given me hope that there are others out there.

Dr. Davis is crazy smart and walks us through every step of an eye exam and actually explains what he’s looking for during your visit. I enjoyed this interview and learned so much… I know that you will too! You may actually be surprised at what your eyes tell him about your health. There is no denying that he genuinely cares about his patients and is passionate about his profession. ***And if that wasn’t enough he has a reputation for being EXCELLENT WITH CHILDREN. Um, you’re welcome local mommas.

In this episode we discuss:

Ragin’ Cajuns – basically a shout-out to my home state

Diabetic Retinopathy

Hypertension

Macular Degeneration

Glaucoma

Scleral Contact Lenses – imagine Sheldon Cooper discussing string theory: same excitement!

You can find his page on Facebook: Palm City Eye Care
