Today, we are going to talk about how people in non-traditional careers should be planning more for their retirement. What do we mean by non-traditional jobs?

  • Those who don’t have a typical nine-to-five office, service, or factory jobs.
  • Non-traditional workers may be self-employed, working in the gig economy (e.g., Uber/Lyft drivers), consulting, or freelancing.
  • Dog Vacay – dog walking
  • Task Rabbit – handyman, moving, home repairs, errand-running
  • Instacart – grocery shopping
  • Higher education: adjunct or part-time professors
