As water gushed from a pipe in Montreal’s downtown, officials scrambled to figure out what caused the flooding. The geyser nearly 10 metres high to flood hundreds of homes, and sparked a boil water advisory for the entire east end. And: Jasper residents are allowed to go home more than three weeks after a wildfire burned down a third of the town. Some people returned to intact homes, while others have nothing left.
