When ibn Umar (ra) would miss the congregational prayer he would continue offering Salah until the next salaah - due to his grief (Baihaqi). When a bondsman offers Salah in Congregation and then asks Allah SWT for his need, then Allah SWT has Hayaa that the bondsman return before the fulfilment of his need (Abu Nu'aym).
