据新华网消息，从去年开始，北京市分批在公共场所陆续开通了免费无线上网服务——“-MyBeijing-”。5月1日起，市经信委宣布，在公共场所，每位用户每天可享受的“-MyBeijing-”免费上网时长由两小时修改为不限时。服务的点位也从今年1月的500余个，增至目前的943个。
“-MyBeijing-”从去年推出后，受到了媒体的关注，网络连接不畅、不通的报道时常见诸报端，这次扩大服务后，其表现是否让人满意呢？5月4日，北京青年报记者按照其提供的正常服务站点进行了实地联网体验。结果6个点位，北青报记者都未能注册成功，无法连接到“-MyBeijing-”的网络。
