Phil welcomes Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps owner and former NFL Quarterback Jay Fiedler to the program. Listen in as the guys discuss Jay’s role at Brookwood Camps, why he got into coaching, coaching gurus, tips and advice on how to develop players, the player’s responsibility in the coaching process, his best memories of his time in the National Football League and much more.

Jay joins the show and he shares why he decided to forego a professional coaching gig in the NFL to join the family sports academy business. Fiedler shares the joy he’s found working with kids as a coach and mentor and why he loves Brookwood so much.

What is the Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps? The guys share why the kids benefit from the World Class Coaches and how the camp isn’t just about sports.

Jay also coaches and mentors throughout the state of New York as well as the Tri-State area. He shares his information about Prime Time Sports Camps and why this is a successful program and one he loves very much.

The fellas have both coached world-class athletes and they discuss what is necessary to a young player’s development, how to avoid coaching “gurus” and why it’s important to set a good foundation if the youngster has professional aspirations.

What is the student’s responsibility in the coaching process? What should a student do if he or she has trouble understanding their coach? What steps should the student take before leaving their coach? The guys share their thoughts about this and much more.

Jay played ten seasons in the National Football League and shares some of his best memories of his time in the NFL. Phil shares one of his best memories of watching his old friend Jay and the guys have a great time reminiscing about the past.
