Today Pastor Tanner Wade looks at the readings for the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, Series A in the Three Year Lectionary. As we look at the lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday, we find a wealth of comfort in Paul’s words to the Philippians. A reminder in a difficult time that as Christians, as those who know the love of God, we can rejoice in Lord always, have peace in God that surpasses all human understanding, and strength in Christ Jesus our Lord. Joy. Peace. Strength. Three words that we can lose sight of in the trials of life, and yet they are still ours in Christ.
