Dr. Ben Corn talks about one of the defining moments in his early life - the death of his father due to cancer. I truly had an epiphany… I realized that I thought I went to medical school, to cure cancer (prostate cancer.) But I realized that nothing had changed since that phone call. And that, my mission was a completely different one. I wanted to be a cancer physician and be up on the latest treatments and know how to treat patients with that dimension of knowing how to communicate. I think “the” role of a physician to create and sustain hope...it is what it's all about. And that's driven my research for the last three decades.
