My guest today is Jennifer Burgess. Jennifer is a resident of Ward 1. We. Have. A. BLAST!! This was one of my favorite podcasts. We talk about all of the key issues in Ocean Springs, and Jennifer is a fun—albeit determined—woman with some wonderful ideas for Ocean Springs. Beginning with the simple service of serving on the Fort Bayou Estates Board, she is no stranger to starting initiatives and seeing them through. Her continued work earned her an endorsement from the longest serving Alderman in the state of Mississippi. Jennifer understands the need for the city to be the aid in times such as COVID. Jennifer’s perspective stems from a dedication to her constituents. She is dead-set on her voice being a voice of those she represents. In her own words, “It isn’t about what I want; it’s about what the citizens want.” In an age of politicians claiming to know more than citizens do, that sentiment is comforting.
We touch on the hot topics, but Jennifer sells herself. She’s a grounded woman with a spirit that stems from true love of her community. This is self-evident. I’m happy to have Jennifer on the podcast and she is also the easiest podcast guest EVER!!. She transitioned the show herself lol. I said it on the podcast, she could have her own podcast and do very well. I digress. Y’all will enjoy this!!!
