In honor of National Endometriosis Awareness Month, Dr. Hugh Taylor, ASRM President, joins the podcast to discuss endometriosis. Dr. Taylor shares his patient-driven research and how endometriosis is a systemic disease, impacting the whole body. He explains how his research has shown a surprising metabolic phenotype, depression, and anxiety as consequences of the disease, and how these conditions are directly related to endometriosis. Dr. Taylor emphasizes the need for earlier diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis and suggests new approaches to treating the disease, including medicines and therapeutics.
