This week on the podcast we’re reading part 1 of “An American Tragedy,” by Theodore Dreiser. Originally published in 1925, Dreiser based his novel on a notorious murder of a young woman named Grace Brown, and the subsequent trial of her boyfriend. The novel has just been republished in a new edition. The next two episodes will cover parts two and three.
