It’s Time We Stop Using the Word “Bridezilla”
Manage episode 306480332 series 3003481
Do you know where the term “Bridezilla” came from? We didn’t. So, we did some digging and discovered quite a few interesting details about it. More importantly, we discussed WHY it’s time we stop using the word “Bridezilla”. Because planning a wedding is stressful. We don’t need to add name-calling into the mix.
We talked about:
- Where the word “Bridezilla” originated and why that matters
- There is a ton of pressure surrounding couples, brides in particular, to be “perfect” — and that’s BULL
- You’re allowed to make mistakes and not show up perfectly every time
- What often leads to someone being called a “Bridezilla” and why that isn’t ok
- Why it’s time to remove the word from our vocabulary
- What someone can do instead of calling someone a “Bridezilla”
