Plato. The Republic. Socrates.

Welcome to the Republic of Middle Aged Men, Episode 16!

In this episode we cover the first part of book seven, Socrates Cave! (Platos Cave, Socrates Cave, the Allegory of the Cave, Aladdin's Cave of Wonders (well, not that cave) but MUCH CAVE!

This episode Socrates uses the example of a cave to describe the journey of a philosopher and those who are not. An exceptionally powerful and insightful passage that has been explored by some of the greatest minds in history, (though we do not include ourselves in that list).

We are very excited to continue our podcast our read through of Plato's The Republic.

We are 3 real world mates, none of which are qualified in philosophy but all of which are wanting to work through this classic and others in the future, as well as generally hanging out and chatting about life as Middle aged Men.

We hope you enjoy hanging out with us and that you will join us at www.therepublicofmam.com

Thanks.
