This week's guest Edwina Guckian talks to Breifne Earley about growing up dancing around the kitchen, teaching kids through her teenage years, the All Ireland Talent Show & the Rose of Tralee. Taking the plunge to leave the classroom and her teaching job to teach dancing and perform full time was a massive step and Edwina details the process she took to make that step. Dealing with the pressure of being favourite for the Rose of Tralee, the social media fallout when she danced with a brush on stage in the dome on national and international television. Her life changing involvement visiting the children affected by the fallout of the Chernobyl disaster features heavily through the entire discussion as well as her ongoing work to do her part to help make their lives more comfortable. Edwina shares the story of Jimmy Gralton who is one of her inspirations and still the only Irish born citizen to be deported from Ireland.
