電線を地中に埋めて電柱を無くす「無電柱化」の取り組みをさらに進めるため、国土交通省は、2025年度までの5年間で、全国でおよそ4000キロの区間の電柱を無くす新たな計画をまとめました。

国土交通省は、災害対策や街の景観をよくするため、電線を地中に埋めて電柱を無くす「無電柱化」を進めています。新たに推進計画をまとめました。

重点的に進める区間は、

▽災害時に物資輸送に使う市街地の緊急輸送道路や避難所にアクセスする道路、

▽世界文化遺産周辺地区や著名な観光地の道路などで、今年度から2025年度までの5年間で、全国でおよそ4000キロの区間の電柱を無くすとしています。

また、無電柱化が進まない背景には、毎年およそ7万本の電柱が新たに設置されていることも影響しているとして、電力会社などに設置が必要な理由などを聞き取る実態調査を行い、電柱を減らす対応策を検討するとしています。
