As a realtor magazine publisher, Amanda Carmichael inspires and connects the real estate community. Whether the market is up or down, relationships between top agents have always been important, and with all the disruptors in today's market that are trying to eliminate the real estate agent from the transaction, relationships between real estate agents have never been more valuable. Agents love that we provide a platform for top producers to get to know each other better and collaborate.

Real Estate isn't the only community that Amanda strives to connect with. As co-founder and Vice President of Battlin' BBQ, she is making an impact in families lives. Battling BBQ started in 2018 by helping a friend in need. You see, his five-year-old son was diagnosed with brain cancer and he needed treatments that the family could not afford. There are many things in this world that we may not understand, and childhood cancer is one of them. What turned into a request for help, has now inspired an entire community to come together. In a short three years,

Battling BBQ has developed into a 501c3 non-profit and sponsors multiple families each year through their bbq competition events. For more information please visit BattlinBBQ.org

In 2017, a devastating hurricane impacted Amanda's community that inspired her to help rebuild. Through her journey efforts, she co-founded a Christian based disaster relief non-profit organization, Operation Restoring Hope. Their efforts helped restore over 55 homes, provide donations to hundreds of families, feed over 300,000 people and provide a Christmas event including presents for over 2,500 children. All of this was accomplished while Amanda had lost her own home and business. Sometimes the storm that was sent to break someone, is the storm that God uses to make someone

But behind all this success lies a deeper and darker story and that's what we are going to talk about today. Unfortunately, too many women have gone through an abusive relationship and Amanda is one of them. She is here today to talk about the things no one really notices:

the aftermath of an abusive relationship.
