In this episode, I will be talking about why college is a privilege, not an obligation. Growing up, my mother has always been my greatest supporter and encouraged me to never stop learning. Despite my hesitation and lack of interest in doing any homework or participating in educational activities, my mother still encouraged and allowed me to get over the phase of being an adolescent. To keep it real, I very much did not like school or reading, math or english, but I only loved science. For me, learning is like trying to ride a bike for the first time, the fear of falling off and cutting yourself has always been a terror for me, but I had to remember this is my life! But what I loved the most is the fact that my mother never imposed the pressure for me to get a college education, instead, it was my decision. I wanted to educate myself and use my degree to help others and today I am an avid reader, english is my fav and math is a work in progress. This is why I wanted to discuss this topic on my podcast to get your feedback, especially if you are a parent or a current college student. How did you make your decision to attend a university? Was this a willing decision or an obligation?
