This week, we chat to Ian Barber. Ian Barber is a Content Editor at ITV Granada Reports, where he regularly produces the North West's 6pm regional news programme. Since joining ITV in 2013, Ian has worked in newsrooms right across the country, and has worked as an on-screen reporter, a producer, news editor, planner and more. At Granada Reports, Ian chairs the regional ITV News Diversity Panel, which strives to make ITV programming more inclusive. Away from work, Ian has a long history in music. He's played in bands for almost 20 years, and has toured extensively across the UK and Europe. And it was after a first foray into the music press that Ian became interested in a career in journalism.
