Christopher Ice lost his wife Mary K when she was 54 years old, saying goodbye to his bride of 32 years and mother to their 7 children after a 5-year battle with breast cancer.
During the disease fight and aftermath, Chris served as the CEO and President of Ava Maria University and CEO of Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph, while handling family duties and trying to hold it all together.
