S1:E18: Becoming a Better Writer: Featuring Faith McQuinn!
Manage episode 343682059 series 3361443
Writing is HARD. Or, at least, it can be. And that's especially true if you're just learning the principles of writing a good story for the first time, or transitioning your writing from screenwriting to another medium (or vice versa!).
So, in today's episode of the Sights and Sounds, we sit down for a chat with Faith McQuinn to do both of those things - and more - with your writing. Faith is a multi-talented, seasoned writer, editor, and director with a writing resume about as long and varied as can be. She's written for feature films, podcasts, and even novels. (Even ghost writing novels!) Her podcast shows like BOOM, Margaritas and Donuts, and Apollyon are each outstanding in their own right - definitely check those out for more podcasts to dig into.
Point of fact, this podcast wouldn't even exist without Faith. Seriously! Her casting of Courtney in the BOOM podcast is the first link in the chain that led Courtney to be cast in Jonathan's "The Last Laugh" Joker fan film. Kismet!
During this episode, Faith mentions a few great resources for writers and downloading scripts to read and digest. Check out the links below:
