How to help with inhibitory control

  • Think aloud and share your own metacognitive approach
  • Share how you regulate your own emotions
  • Turning it into a game - what do you see? - What do you hear?
  • Model how to pay attention

How to help with cognitive flexibility

  • Show acceptance of differences
  • Demonstrate shifting from task to task
  • Manage transitions
  • Recognize creativity
  • Taking risk assessments
