By the end of 1999, WCW and WWF were in a heated battle with both companies having top of the industry level stars. Names like Hollywood Hogan, Sting, Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, and Goldberg were atop WCW as WWF had the likes of Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, and The Undertaker. However, one of those names would have to miss a year due to a neck injury, that name being the biggest in Stone Cold Steve Austin. In an effort to write off a year of arguably the hottest act in all of pro wrestling, WWE decided the best way to make lemonade would be to hit Stone Cold with a car and have a year long story of who ran over Austin. The story had the potential to create another top of the industry level star, but what happened was simply bad, man.
CPFs Hobb (@eahobb) and Kneezus (@KneezusJackson) join to watch Stone Cold get ran over, the reveal of Rikishi as the driver, and Stone Cold getting his revenge at No Mercy 2000. We also discuss the times we have gone above and beyond for someone, the Samoan Dynasty, and how Curb Your Enthusiasm should end.
