Dr. M. Gabriela Torres, professor, chair, and associate provost at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, is a cultural anthropologist who teaches courses in Medical Anthropology, Global Health, Violence Against Women and Latin America and Latinx Studies.

The three-year project will expand the curriculum with new courses and teaching materials. It is expected to create new Liberal Education and Professional Success (LEAPS) and sophomore experiences and equips students entering health and medical fields to better serve diverse and underserved populations.
