This week, I sit down with Tyler Podomik. Tyler is a painter and ceramicist from Pittsburgh who marches to the beat of his own drum. Tyler drops by the studio to talk to me about his work and how he came to be who he is today. Early on, he had no idea where his life would take him. Now, he spends his days creating. I was introduced to Tyler from a previous guest Stephen Jaskulski. Jazz told me “Tyler is going to be the greatest painter to come out of the city of Pittsburgh” so I had to have him on and find out why. We talk about everything from our previous shitty jobs at a local car dealership, his introduction to art, how CCAC changed his life, capitalizing on opportunities when they are presented to us, and so much more. I had a great time learning about who Tyler Podomik is and I think you will enjoy our talk. Thanks for listening. - Tyler Podomik is hosting his first Solo Exhibition ‘Love Letters’ on April 14th at Studio 4. These pieces he is showcasing are incredible and I cannot wait to experience it in its entirety. I urge you to mark your calendar and plan to attend if you want to some some very incredible works.
