Today we sat with Katerina Zorina-Lichtenwalter who is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Colorado Boulder. What is her specialty? She a gene specialist who wrote a paper about the correlation between pain and redheads. She was also quoted in an online article by Sharon Guynup of National Geographic about redheads going extinct, we talked about this as well! This is the episode all redheads need to listen too, it will take you back to your scientific roots (pardon the pun) Please enjoy.
The article about redheads needing more anesthesia:

https://pubs.asahq.org/anesthesiology/article/101/2/279/9143/Anesthetic-Requirement-Is-Increased-in-Redheads

The article about redheads being less sensitive to pain and needing less analgesia (note that anesthesia and analgesia are not the same!):

https://jmg.bmj.com/content/42/7/583

My article about how pain sensitivity is not related to red hair, i.e. redheads can be both more and less sensitive to pain:
