Here's the thing.
For today's very special episode of Safest Family on the Block, we talk about talking about sex. All of the data and research say that we get fewer pregnancies, less sexually transmitted infection, lower rates of teen sex, and even lower rates of rape and domestic abuse if we have frank, honest, comprehensive sex education and sex talks with our kids.
That can be a tough proposition. Some political narratives and religious communities even say we shouldn't do it...but that doesn't change the facts.
Today, Liza Draper, a veteran sex educator, comes on the show to talk with us about what we need our kids to know, and some of the best ways to make sure they know them.
